What We Need YOU To DO:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team
as a laboratory scientist with the Division of Environmental
Services (DES) at our Reynoldsburg laboratory.
Know the difference between a Bunsen, a burette, and a beaker? Then

- Our Division of Environmental Services analyzes water, air,
sediment, and tissue samples and provides technical assistance,
laboratory inspections, and lab certification throughout the state
of Ohio.
- As a laboratory scientist you'll assist the lab's sample
coordinator in receiving, processing and distributing samples, as
well as preparing and performing basic laboratory tests.
- We'll count on your attention to detail to maintain sample
documentation such as lab records and test results, and accurately
enter this information in DES databases while retaining hard
copies.
- You'll provide routine administrative support for DES including
answering calls to the main line, greeting visitors, screening
incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining office inventory, and
handling equipment purchases and payments. Our analysis confirms

Qualifications
- 30 mos. pertinent laboratory experience commensurate with job
duties to be performed as outlined per approved position
description on file.
- OR completion of associate degree in a biological, chemical,
natural or physical science; 12 mos. pertinent laboratory
experience commensurate with job duties to be performed as outlined
per approved position description on file.
- OR completion of undergraduate core coursework in a biological,
chemical, natural or physical science.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment
noted above.
