  • NEED: RN Med/Surg Tele - Observation Unit
  • LOCATION: Riverside Methodist Hospital
  • SHIFT: Night shift, 3/12's, Every other weekend. Every other holiday.
  • DESCRIPTION: 60-bed semi-private rooms--med-surg with telemetry. Our goal is to have patients in and out within 24 hours, meaning we have a very fast paced environment. Patients are frequently going to tests/procedures and then (depending on results) either transferring to an inpatient unit or being discharged with a PCP follow up. Nurses care for patients with drips such as heparin, cardizem, ketamine. Communication skills are key for collaboration with the charge nurse and physician groups. EPIC EMR system in use.

        • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
        • Requires handling fast-paced patient turnover, including care for patients undergoing tests/procedures, transfers, or discharges
        • Patient Care: Management of drips such as heparin, cardizem, ketamine

          • I-9 and E-Verify Attestation Form is required for APN Candidates
          • Driver's license copy required for positions involving driving
